Our new paper demonstrating a novel, widely tunable femtosecond laser for two-photon vision studies in humans is now available online.

Scientific breakthrough with our laser! Together with researchers from the International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) and University of California Irvine (UCI), we co-developed a two-photon excited fluorescence scanning laser ophthalmoscope (TPEF-SLO) for non-invasive diagnostics of the human retina.

New paper: improved Vernier spectrometer with our compact frequency comb
We presented a new design of a Vernier spectrometer for broadband, fast and sensitive detection of carbon dioxide and methane. The spectrometer uses our compact fiber-based frequency comb. The research was done in collaboration with the group of Dr. Aleksandra Foltynowicz from Umea University. The paper was published in Optics Express.
New invited paper
Our recent article on fiber-based optical frequency comb at 3.3 µm wavelength for broadband spectroscopy of hydrocarbons was published in Chinese Optics Letters journal (as invited paper), and is now available online!
Our laser installed at ICTER!
On July 16, we visited our collaborators at the International Center for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) and installed our new laser which will be used for two-photon vision studies.

Our paper entitled: "All-normal dispersion supercontinuum vs frequency-shifted solitons pumped at 1560 nm as seed sources for thulium-doped fiber amplifiers" will be published in the upcoming issue of Optics Express.

Successful two-photon vision experiments with our tunable femtosecond laser
On March 11-12 Dorota Stachowiak and Dorota Tomaszewska visited the International Center for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) and performed preliminary experiments with two-photon vision in human eye using our newly developed, broadly tunable (850 - 1050 nm) femtosecond laser.
Our mid-infrared frequency comb enables broadband high-resolution measurements of nitrous oxide
In collaborarion with our partners from Umea University, we used our compact mid-infrared difference frequency generation comb source with a Fourier transform spectrometer to perform broadband high-resolution measurements of nitrous oxide. The preprint presenting the results was just posted on arXiv.

Our laser enables two-photon excited fluorescence imaging of biological samples
In cooperation with researchers from the Insititute of Physical Chemistry, we have demonstrated two-photon imaging of ex vivo rat skin and other samples using the femtosecond laser at 780 nm wavelength developed in our group.
Visit of Prof. Gerard Mourou!
It was our pleasure to host Prof. Gerard Mourou, Nobel Laureate in Physics in 2018, and his wife in our laboratories on 2nd of March. Professor Mourou participated in the ELI Day workshop which was held at our University. During his stay in Wrocław, he visited our comb spectroscopy laboratory and we had the opportunity to present our experimental setups to the Nobel laureate.
Vernier spectroscopy with our near-IR comb
Aleksander Głuszek, PhD student and member of our team, visited Umeå University on 17-21 February. The goal of the visit was to perform experiments with cavity-enhanced Vernier spectroscopy using our ultracompact frequency comb in the near-infrared.
Dorota Tomaszewska visits labs in Umeå University
Our PhD student Dorota Tomaszewska is visiting the laboratories at Umeå University for a short-term research stay. The main purpose of the visit is to perform spectroscopic measurements at 8 micrometers using our compact mid-IR frequency comb.
Our 780 nm femtosecond laser installed at IChF
On 17 January we delivered the prototype of a femtosecond fiber laser at 780 nm to the Institute of Physical Chemistry of Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. It will be used as excitation source in a two-photon-excited fluorescence microscope for retinal imaging.

It was our pleasure to host Dr. Lucile Rutkowski from Université de Rennes, CNRS, IPR (Institut de Physique de Rennes) in our labs last week.
Visit of Dr. Francisco Senna Vieira
It was our pleasure to host Dr. Francisco Senna Vieira from Umeå University between 1-15 July. During the visit, Francisco helped us to set-up a scanning Vernier-cavity spectrometer based on our ultra-compact frequency comb. The results are very promising!
